Mullavilly Primary School is a co-educational controlled primary school situated between Portadown and Tandragee. The school opened in 1903 and a new extension was added in September 1978. The accommodation is bright and attractive, comprising of four classrooms each with its own interactive whiteboard, mobile classroom for special educational needs, multi-purpose hall, library, Principal and Secretary’s office, staff room, and school meals kitchen.
Outside there are two hard surface playgrounds with playground markings, an ECO garden with a pond, raised vegetable beds and a variety of playground equipment to promote positive play. Mullavilly Primary School is an officially recognised Eco School was awarded its third Green Flag in June 2010.
The school has approximately 100 pupils enrolled, with the average class size being around 25 pupils. All levels of ability are catered for, from high achievers to those pupils experiencing special educational needs. Mullavilly Primary School seeks provide a safe and stimulating environment, where every pupil is valued and supported to become confident individuals, successful learners and responsible young people. Specifically, the school aims to help pupils:

Provision has made for an extensive range of both in-school and after-school activities, including piano and woodwind tuition, football, hockey, tennis, volleyball, netball and kwik cricket coaching, swimming, cycling proficiency, Cookery Club, Good News Club, Eco Club, Monkeynastix, school choir and recorder.
These activities aim to provide each child with a breadth and depth of experience. The pupils compete annually in Portadown Music Festival, Cascades Small Schools Swimming Gala and many sporting events with great success.
