Armed Robbery At Tandragee Jewellers

Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery at the Jewellers in Tandragee.

 

Around  2.00 pm on Thursday 20th May two men one armed with a gun and the other with a hammer entered the store in Market Street and smashed a glass cabinet. The duo also removed a number of gold rings and also stole jewllery from the the safe before fleeing in a grey Audi A4 in the direction of Scarva.

 

The PSNI believe the getaway car had been hijacked from a dealership in Mallusk on Wednesday, the car was later found burnt out.

 

A PSNI spokeswoman said last night the four people arrested were assisting police with their inquiries.

She also said police were keen to speak to anyone who noticed a red Corsa or silver BMW in the Scarva or Tandragee areas yesterday, as well as anyone who may have any information about the car hijacking.
